Firm Overview

Mark E. Tomaszek, P.A. is a law firm serving clients in South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, and Texas. The primary practice is in Greenville, Anderson, Pickens, and surrounding counties in South Carolina. The firm concentrates on Tax, Estate Planning, Trust, Probate, Charitable Organizations, Mergers and Acquisitions, and general Corporate, Partnership, and Business Law matters.  The firm provides clients with advice concerning Estate Planning, Probate Matters, Business Entity formation and planning, planning for closely held businesses operations, buy-outs, succession planning, general business representation, and transactional work involving sales, purchases, mergers, acquisitions and dispositions of business entities or interests. The firm also provides tax advice and planning for business, charities, and individuals, as well as tax disputes and resolution at the County, State and Federal level. Our emphasis is to work with each client to best suit their individual needs and make it our priority to handle each case with diligence and the highest standard of legal guidance.

Mr. Tomaszek has been providing legal services to business and individual clients since 1982, and is a member in good standing of the Bar of four states; South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, and Texas.

Mr. Tomaszek was designated as a Certified Specialist in Taxation Law by the South Carolina Supreme Court. He has consistently maintained this designation since 1992 through January 2018. This makes him one of only a few attorneys in the state granted this certification. Of those attorneys only a handful are located in the Upstate Counties (Greenville, Spartanburg, Anderson, Oconee and Pickens) where Mr. Tomaszek practices.

Mr. Tomaszek also meets all of the requirements set by the Supreme Court to apply for recognition as a Specialist in Estate Planning and Probate Law. There are very few attorneys in the State with this designation and only a small number in listed Upstate Counties.

South Carolina has, as of 2016, only 16 attorneys in the entire state recognized by the Supreme Court as specialists in both Taxation, Estate Planning, and Probate.

At present, Mr. Tomaszek has elected to represent only a limited number of clients on a select basis. This allows Mr. Tomaszek to concentrate on a smaller number of matters he feels uniquely qualified to manage. Clients are given unhurried and thorough professional consideration due to the limited number represented at one time. Mr. Tomaszek actively practices only in South Carolina but is always willing to discuss possible representation in the other jurisdictions in which he is licensed but currently maintains inactive status due to the limited nature of his practice.
